How to Read ePub Files on Kindle

Kindle devices natively support ePub files as of 2022. This means getting your DRM-free ePub files from Classica Books onto your Kindle is now easier than ever. Here are three methods, from simplest to most reliable.

Method 1: Send to Kindle (Recommended)

Amazon's Send to Kindle feature now supports ePub files directly. This is the easiest method for newer Kindle devices.

1. Go to amazon.com/sendtokindle in your browser
2. Sign in to your Amazon account
3. Click “Select files to send” and choose your .epub file
4. Select which Kindle device or app to send it to
5. Your book will appear in your Kindle library within minutes

You can also send ePub files directly from your computer's email by attaching the file to an email addressed to your Kindle's email address (found in your Amazon account settings).

Method 2: Calibre (Any Device)

Calibre is a free, open-source e-book management program that can convert ePub to Kindle's MOBI format and transfer files to any Kindle via USB.

1. Download Calibre free from calibre-ebook.com
2. Add your ePub file to your Calibre library
3. Right-click the book → “Convert books” → “Convert individually”
4. Select MOBI or AZW3 as the output format
5. Connect your Kindle via USB and use Calibre's “Send to Device” button

Method 3: Kindle App (iOS & Android)

If you use the Kindle app on your phone or tablet, you can open ePub files directly from your device's file manager or download manager:

1. Download your ePub file from Classica Books
2. Tap the file in your Downloads folder
3. Select “Open with Kindle” from the share menu
4. The book will be added to your Kindle app library
